INCLUSION AT SCHOOL

 A new Code of Practice for children with special educational needs and disabilities was published in July 2014.  This provides schools with information on how to support children and their families who require additional support to reach the expectations for their age and access all aspects of school life and curriculum.

At Ferndown First School, we have recently had our good practice for supporting vulnerable children, such as those with special educational needs and disabilities, recognised by the country’s leading independent education charity Achievement for All. In addition to achieving the AFA Quality Mark,  we now also hold the Quality Lead.
