Incredible Portraits

Well done to the children in KS2 for putting on such a successful art exhibition as the exit point for their 'Incredible People' unit of work. If you didn't manage to see the artwork during the exhibition last week, you can view the artwork on the corridor displays and giant display books. Speak to a member of staff at the end of the day and you will be more than welcome to come into school to have a look.

Click here to see pictures of the exhibition and a selection of portraits

Incredible Authors

As part of our learning journey this half term, we have been looking at an incredible author in our literacy lessons. Next week we will be writing a picture book in the style of our class author for the children in Little Gems. We have been doing lots of research this week into our author's style to check that we get the details just right because we have heard that the children in Little Gems are very particular!

Amethyst - Quentin Blake

Turquoise - Tony Ross

Pearl - Julia Donaldson

Amber - John Burningham

Why not visit your local library this weekend to see if you can find any more books by your class author?
