Democracy In Action

Earlier this week some very brave pupils from Amber Class decided they wanted to represent our class on the School Council. The children worked very hard to write some fantastic speeches which they then read out to the whole of Amber Class. After the candidates read out their speeches, each pupil took park in a secret ballot to vote for their two chosen candidates. It must have been a very hard decision for each pupil because each candidate had some fantastic reasons as to why they should represent our class. After a very tense wait, Olivia and Connor were chosen as our new representatives. Well done to both of you! We also voted two vice representatives. Well done to Bradley and Sofia who will attend meetings if Olivia and Connor are not able to. Congratulations must also go to the other candidates. Well done to Ethan, Zane, Oliver, Alfie, Jasmine, Grave and Hayley for your excellent speeches.

It was a very tense but exciting time. I am very proud of all the children for their fantastic speeches and for the remainder of the class who acted very maturely when voting.
