Good Luck, Joe!

Joe in Year 1 is a budding author and has entered the BBC Radio Two 500 Words Story Competition.

It has been an interesting journey for Joe. He was initially 300 words over the word limit, but after sharing some creative editing ideas with Miss Kirk and Miss Lloyd and extra hard work over the holiday, he was able to get his story down to 495 words.

I have to say, the quality of language used for effect in this story was the most creative I have seen from a child of Joe’s age. No matter how successful he is in the National Competition, we are very proud of his achievement at Ferndown First School.

Good Luck, Joe! We all have our fingers crossed for you!
