An Icy Start To 2019 In RC Class

Happy New Year!

We have started our new Winter topic by learning the story ‘The Snow Queen’. We acted out the story with props, built a palace for The Snow Queen and thought about how different parts of the story made us feel. Outside we found icy frozen hands and we thought The Snow Queen must have left them there! The next day we found that lots of our toys had been frozen in blocks of ice outside, so we started making a plan to melt the ice and rescue them!

This week our sounds have been j, v, w and x. We have been learning about teen numbers and estimating in maths.

Please check the Evidence for Learning journal online over the next couple of weeks, and keep on uploading your pictures from home too. It’s fantastic to see all of the wonderful home learning that goes on!
