On Tuesday 11th November Ferndown First School Councillors accompanied Mrs Di-Pede, Mrs Brown and Mrs Munday to the British Legion, to take part in a short Service of Remembrance. The children laid our school wreath at the memorial alongside many others from the community of Ferndown. We heard a roll call of honour for the soldiers from Ferndown who had lost their lives in World War 1, World War 2 and in Afghanistan. We also observed a two minute silence. The children donated a beautiful poppy picture made by all pupils at Ferndown First School, with help from Mrs Ridgway. Year 1 donated poppy biscuits which were also very well received and enjoyed with a cup of tea, after the service.
