Making Porridge

It was lovely hearing about Ruby class’ fantastic half term today.

Before half term we were learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  In maths we made porridge, counting the number of spoons and saying whether they were big, medium or small. We all agreed it was very yummy. We sorted objects by size to decide which belonged to Baby, Mummy and Daddy bear.  In literacy we pretended to be Goldilocks and wrote to the Three Bears to say sorry.  We had noticed the changing colour of the falling leaves so in our role play area we explored different autumn objects including acorns, conkers, beech masts and sycamore seeds, and imagined we were looking after the woodland creatures.
