Reception have enjoyed getting stuck into our Arts Week theme – ‘Paint by touch, not by sight’. They have used textured paints to paint trees using colours from different seasons. They have also used their fingers to paint swirls in the style of Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’, and have used glue and sand to create textured designs on black paper. As well as these pieces of art, the children have also explored texture and the feel of different materials through printing in dough, collaging, 3D recycled art and other sensory activities.
We hope you all have a lovely Easter holiday and we look forward to more fabulous learning in the Summer term!
