Last week during during forest school we read the hedgehog band story.
We then went outside and looked very carefully at the leaves and the bark of the trees and learnt some of the names.
We found an oak, holly, silver birch and a cherry. Hopefully, the children will be able to name some of the trees when you are next outside.
After we had looked at trees, we made some instruments from natural materials – just like the animals in the band!
We listened really carefully to the different sounds that the materials made.
