This week has been a fantastic one in RD! The children have all really embraced different ways of working artistically as well as showing a wonderful curiosity to learn about all things Japanese! They have learnt to say hello and count to 3 in Japanese and enjoyed hearing about ways of life in another country.
Our art was mainly focused around the famous cherry blossom trees and we had fun exploring printing, paint, water colours, oil pastels and more to create representations of the beautiful trees.
Even with all this fun we still managed to fit in learning a new poem of the week ‘pancakes’ and learning 2 new diagraphs ‘ar’ and ‘or’.
We also officially welcomed a new teaching assistant, Miss Newman to the reception team.
Next week we are looking forward to world book day and a trip to ferndown library. If you are able to help walk with us to the library mid morning on Thursday please let Mrs Dudley know.
Have a lovely weekend.
