It has been an exciting week in Year 3 as we got creative for our Japan Art Week. On Monday, the children designed Japanese wind chimes and learnt to write their name in Japanese to add to their creation. Next, they learnt the art of paper folding to create an origami kimono and used a paper dying technique to add colour. Finally, they learnt about Japanese architecture, in particular the torii gate, and used cardboard to produce their own version.
