For our first full week at school we have begun Phase 1 phonics lessons. These help us to learn how to listen for sounds around us, which in turn will help us to hear the sounds in words. We went on a sound walk around the school grounds holding our ‘listening ears’ and we heard all sorts of sounds – crunchy ones, snappy ones, zooming sounds, banging sounds, whooshing sounds and many more!
Well done to RC class from Mrs Cload and Mrs Kara. The children have settled in brilliantly and are already becoming independent in our daily routines. We have also been very impressed with the super tidying up in our class.
