In Year 4 art lessons, we have been looking at Ancient Art. We have linked our learning to our History topic on the Egyptians. We have looked at a range of coffin masks and discussed our thoughts about them. We will be looking at how to use Modroc to create a cast, which will then be used as the base for our sculptures. We will also be analysing the kinds of patterns that the Ancient Egyptians used, to decorate our masks.
We have started to look at the artist Antony Gormley, who is famous for his use of metal casts to create sculptures.
