This week, we have read the traditional tale ‘The Elves and the Shoemakers’. An elf also came to visit our class and set out some lovely tasks for us to do. We have threaded shoes, designed shoes and nailed in the tacks on the bottom of shoes. There was even a shoe shop!
We have looked at measurement in our maths learning. We have measured the height of our friends using footprints, used the balance scales and looked at capacity. You could try playing with measures at home. Plastic jugs in the bath would be a fun way to start.
On Thursday, we had a winter wonderland day. What fun!
