Year 3 has made an excellent start to the summer term. Children have welcomed Miss Weguelin and been very friendly and helpful, thank you! On Thursday, Year 3 celebrated Earth Day. We calculated our carbon footprint and then discussed how we could reduce it. Children then competed in a recycling race. Children had to race to put items of rubbish into the correct rubbish bin (recycling, compost or general waste). It was so much fun!
In Science, we have been learning about magnets. We explored different magnets and discussed our findings. Children were interested to learn about a magnet’s north and south poles and how magnets can attract and repel at a distance.
Thank you to parents for all your support at home. Please continue to support your child by encouraging them to read regularly, practise their spellings and learn their 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Spelling shed and TT Rock Stars are great resources.
Well done to Year 3. Keep up the good work!
