This week, we have been reading the wonderful story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. We have retold and sequenced the story as well as writing some brilliant sentences using our phonic sounds.
Our new phonic sounds this week are /ear/ as in fear, /air/ as in hair, and /ure/ as in pure. Our tricky words are said and so.
In maths, we have been focussing on symmetry and shape. We have painted some symmetrical butterflies using the primary colours.
We have also got some real very hungry little caterpillars in our classrooms!
