This week in Year 3, we have been learning about how Hindu’s celebrate Diwali. We learnt that during Diwali, Hindu’s often make Rangoli art which are colourful designs made using coloured rice powder. Often symmetrical patterns, they combine straight lines, curved lines and images like flowers and other things from nature, symbolising prosperity, growth and luck. Working in groups, we have enjoyed having a go at making our own Rangoli art using tissue paper.
