This week, Year 3 have been on a school trip to Brownsea Island. Arriving at Poole Quay by coach, the children boarded the Brownsea Ferry and embarked on the crossing to the island. On the ferry, we observed some of the natural features of a harbour that we have been learning about in our Geography lessons this year. When we reached the island, the children had a quick snack before setting off on an adventure trail. We saw chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks and a few of us were lucky enough to spot a red squirrel! We managed to spend a little bit of time in the outdoor playground where we put our den building skills to good use before we stopped for a spot of lunch. On the way back to the ferry we all had our eyes peeled for a red squirrel! It was an action packed day and we all had great fun.
