In Year One this half term we have been comparing the contrasting location of Nuuk, Greenland with Ferndown, England. The children have learnt all about how to use a globe and can now locate England, Greenland, North Pole, South Pole and the equator. They have also been learning about the human and physical features of each location and compared the similarities and differences. The children really enjoyed learning about the different animals that live in Greenland as they were very different compared to the animals we see in England!
