Special Diets & Allergens

For those children that require a Special Diet menu, it is important that Clever Chefs capture fresh and up-to-date information in case anything has changed recently. Please provide this information using the attached form and submit it to diets@cleverchefs.co.uk or use this link: https://forms.gle/8S5sYr1dFxaW7bBW6. We also have printed copies of the form which are available in the school office.
Once the forms have been received, Clever Chefs will contact parents directly to obtain ideal choices and likes/dislikes, and then devise a menu that they will sign off prior to it being submitted to the school office and the kitchen for reference. Please note that without this information being completed the kitchen will not be able to provide food for your child if they need a special diet.

If a child does not have a lunch box with them, they will choose a meal from the menu that morning.
Free School Meals
All children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal each day via the governments Universal Free School meal scheme.
A Free School Meal application can also be made via Dorset Council at https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/w/free-school-meals. We actively encourage all our families to make this application as by applying, you may be entitled to support for your child, and successful applications may also provide additional funding to the school through Pupil Premium funding. This funding is used to enhance the opportunities and experiences we can offer all children, including, financial support towards school trips and educational visits, including the Avon Tyrrell residential, funding for teacher-led after-school clubs, assistance with school uniform grants and additional resources and interventions to support children’s learning and wellbeing. Even if you are unsure whether you meet the eligibility criteria, we strongly encourage you to apply. Every successful application helps secure valuable funding that directly benefits our pupils and enables us to continue providing a wide range of opportunities for children across the school.
