On Friday the whole school held ‘International Day’. We started the day with a special assembly, including fabulous performances by Year 3 and Year 4 of French songs which they had been learning in their languages lessons this term.
Each class then visited several different ‘countries’ around the school, taking part in many exciting activities linked to languages and cultures from around the world.
Finally, Year 3 enjoyed some Spanish taster sessions led by specialist languages teacher, Ms Bleaney. They had a lot of fun with hands on activities and games, and they learnt some new words in Spanish. Look out for more details about Ms Bleaney’s Spanish after-school club in the new term.
Thank you to all the children, families and staff who got into the international spirit of the day with their wonderful outfits representing the different countries!
