To start our new topic ‘Traditional Tales’ we have begun by reading and retelling ‘The Gingerbread Man’. The children have enjoyed joining in with the repeated phrases in the story and were able to sequence it as a class very well.
In maths we have focussed on estimating and making teen numbers.
Our sounds of the week were j, v, w and x.
In phonics we are working hard on blending the sounds we know to read words. Please read the school book regularly at home as this is so important in helping the children to make progress. When the white link book is not signed, staff will not change the reading book so please remember to quickly sign every time you hear your child read.
