This week in RC Class we have been using our sounds to do some wonderful independent writing. As well as our new story, Goldilocks, the children were really interested in The Titanic after hearing in assembly all about the work Year 2 have done about the ship, and seeing the amazing models that Year 2 have made. Some children decided to draw and write about The Titanic using the sounds they know. We have also been writing letters to Baby Bear from Goldilocks. It is brilliant to see how proud the children are when using their sounds for reading and writing.

In maths we have been learning how to double and halve. In phonics our sounds have been sh (for ship), ch (for cheese), and th (for thin).

Our poem of the week was ‘Snowman’.
