This week, we have been learning all about how the police help us and keep us safe. We have had a virtual visit from Ferndown Police Station which helped us to find out more about the job of the police, their uniform and their cars. The children thought of some brilliant questions to ask the police officers before the visit.

Our words of the week are police and safety.

In phonics, we have learnt the sounds /ur/ as in fur and /ow/ as in cow.

In maths, we have been reading and solving addition calculations using different resources such as cubes and numicon.

Our poem this week is ‘Thunderstorm’ which was very in keeping with the weather!
