On Wednesday, the children came into school wearing their football kits or PE kits. The children had an opportunity to practise their football skills and take part in a football tournament. Some children were awarded football medals for showing our school values (Community, Aspiration, Respect, Excellence and Care).
Our Year 4 Sports Ambassadors were in charge of taking photos and have commented on what they saw throughout the day:
‘EYFS – the children were enjoying practising their dribbling around cones and trying to score a goal.
Year 1 – The children were very energetic. We saw great goals, strong kicks and fabulous teamwork.
Year 2 – The children were communicating a lot. We saw excellent defending from the yellow team
Year 3 – The children had very good control over the ball. They were calling out to each other. We saw great tackling.
Year 4 – Very good goal keeping from all sides. Excellent defending and passing to each other.
The children enjoyed coming into school in their football kits and had lots of fun in the football tournaments.’
