This week, we have continued our topic about animals with the story ‘Dear Zoo’. The children have thought about which animal they would like to ask for and we have created our own class version of this well-loved story, complete with lift the flaps!
In phonics, we have been applying all the sounds we know to read and write longer words.
In maths, we have been practising our number bonds to 5 (e.g 3 and 2 make 5, 4 and 1 make 5) as this will help us to become more fluent mathematicians when we go to Year 1. We have also used the part part whole model to explore the different ways that numbers are made up.
We have also been watching our caterpillars very carefully as they keep munching their food and grow bigger every day! There were two that had turned into hanging caterpillars today.
