What a fantastic start to school! During our first week together, the children have settled well into school routines and have made lots of friends. They have played listening and sound games using their new ‘listening ears’. Also, they have worked on recognising and writing their name. Whenever they have built a model or made a drawing, they have tried to label it with their name.
Outside, the children have loved playing in the water and sand areas, painting, mark making and cooking pretend recipes in the mud kitchen. They even took turns being the ‘Fox’ and ‘Rosie’ in Forest Time after reading the story ‘Rosie’s Walk’ by Pat Hutchins.
What a fun week we have had!
