Since 2018, Ferndown First School has been undergoing extensive works and refurbishment which has allowed our school to expand to offer a third class in each year group. Parts of the school have been completely remodelled to include additional classrooms and learning spaces. All works have been funded by Dorset Council.
The final phase of building works is due to begin during the week beginning 10th July. This includes a complete reconfiguring and refurbishment of the admin offices at the front of the school and a new school visitor reception area.
There will be considerable disruption to the front of the school. We will be writing to parents this week to confirm the changes that will be necessary. Please see the new admin office plan below.
