In art this half term, the children have researched how artists use sketchbooks to respond to other creative art forms. One of the artists we researched was Quentin Blake, who is most famously known for illustrating Roald Dahl stories.  The children have illustrated the poem ‘Sometimes I pretend’. They sketched ideas such as colours, textures and ratio of size into their sketchbooks and have bought these ideas to life, in the form of a 3D sculpture, using a mixture of materials.
