Today we were supposed to run 3 laps of the daily mile rack alongside Mrs Lord who has set herself a challenge of running the London Marathon on 21st April. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side for the marathon today so we decided to do it in the hall.
Mrs Lord measured the perimeter of the school hall and worked out the children needed to do 10 laps! Some children even managed more. The children thoroughly enjoyed skipping, hopping, dancing and jogging along to the music with Mrs Lord. All the laps that the children did have been counted and we are pleased to announce that every year group managed to complete the marathon distance (26.2 miles). Well done everybody!
Thank you for the donations. We will let you know how much was raised after the Easter Break. Half the cash raised today will go to the school fund and half will go to NSPCC.
