The children have had great fun discovering our outdoor environment for the first time-there is much to see and do! There’s a sand and water play area where we can build sandcastles, dig for treasure and explore capacity. We even have a mud kitchen where we make the best mud pies. We must remember to wear our aprons, though!
Our role-play and small world areas are also a big hit. Here, we can let our imaginations run wild. This week we can pretend to be builders and have built a farm.
There are areas where we can mark make using chalk or water. We have learnt to draw shapes with the chalk and rub it out with the water.
Our outdoor area also has plenty of gross motor equipment to help build strength and coordination. Our favourite this week has been the climbing frame.
We are all looking forward to spending more time in our outdoor area.
