In Design Technology, the Year 1 children have been busy designing fruit faces. With a brief to encourage children to eat more fruit, the children created pictures of fruit faces and decided which fruit they would use and how best to prepare it.
This week, they used their designs to make their fruit faces. There was much peeling, chopping, grating and eating! The children had a fantastic time whilst practising their DT skills and learning about healthy eating and food safety and prep.
