In History, we have been learning about Howard Carter and his discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. To encourage the children to think like historians, we set up a tomb to explore in the classroom. The children took it in turns to crawl through the tomb using lanterns to discover the artefacts hidden inside. The children thoroughly enjoyed this immersive activity.
