Various research, including Tulloch et al., (2021) tell us that the most at-risk in the UK for dog bites are primary school-aged children, when at home. Dogs’ Trust visited to teach us safe behaviour around dogs in the home; but also, dogs of friends/ family, and strangers when out and about. We discussed that some people will live with dogs, some will not. Some people may be excited by dogs, whilst some may be afraid of them. Through the sessions we learnt how to have safer interactions with dogs in different settings. You can find out more at, learnwithdogstrust.org.uk. Should you wish, you can also make a donation to support the work they do.
